What should I do?(3/20/2006) Answer: Actually, the "ikch8xx.cat" and "isb8xx.cat" files are not necessary under Windows® 98SE. So you can skip it to continue the installation of motherboard drivers. It will not influence the functions of your system. If you want to install the two files completely, please put the support CD into your CD/DVD ROM and refer to the path:
\drivers\VGA\win98_me\Win9X.
Question: I am a K8NF4G-SATA2 / 939NF4G-SATA2 user. Is it possible that I can adjust the onboard VGA shared memory to 256MB?(11/18/2005) Answer: In BIOS SETUP, the Maximum onboard VGA shared memory option is 128MB. If you want to set it to 256MB, please install 512MB or greater system memory and set the onboard VGA option to "Auto" in BIOS SETUP. Then the VGA driver will dynamically allocate the shared memory size to 256MB.
Question: I am using P4Dual-915GL/ 775Dual-915GL. After updating the VGA driver from 6.14.10.3943 to 6.14.10.4299, the maximum memory allocated for graphics became 192MB. Why?(8/24/2005) Answer: The capacity of maximum memory allocated for graphics is controlled by Intel VGA driver. The Intel VGA driver-6.14.10.4299 only supports the maximum memory allocated for graphics 192MB.
Question: I use PCI Express VGA card on my ASRock motherboard. My operation system is Windows 98SE / ME. In "Device Manager", there are two "Display Adapter Controllers" in "Display Adapters" option. What should I do?(7/15/2005) Answer: Please follow the below steps to install PCIE VGA card driver.
a. Please enter "Device Manager" and you will see "Standard Display Adapter (VGA) and "Standard PCI Graphics Adapter (VGA)" in the "Display Adapters" option.

c. After removing the device, please reboot your system. Then, you will only see "Standard Display Adapter (VGA)" in "Display Adapter" option.

Where can I adjust the VGA shared memory size?(4/8/2005) Answer: Intel 915GL chipset supports Dynamic Video Memory Technology (DVMT). DVMT will dynamically allocate VGA memory based on system needs and is not user configurable.

You do not need to adjust any settings in the BIOS. ASRock motherboard will switch between add-on AGP and Onboard VGA automatically when you install or uninstall it.
Question: Why I only saw 224MB memory installed in my K7VM2 system? (12/25/2002) Answer: The 32 MB for VGA will be shared from system memory. So if you install one 256 MB memory, the on board VGA will use 32 MB then your system can only use 224 MB memory.
Question: If I want to use add-on AGP card on G Pro, do I need to change anything in the BIOS utility?(12/25/2002) Answer: When you were using on board VGA and want to switch to add-on VGA, you do not need to set anything in the BIOS. The BIOS will auto switch to add-on VGA if it is installed. Also the BIOS will auto switch back to on-board VGA if add-on VGA is not installed.
