Corporate Social Responsibility

ASRock Green Design

Green designs with toxic-free raw materials are used for all products designed by ASRock. Green purchasing and green management were enhanced since the designing stage to allow our products, services and outsourced vendors to meet the international green trends, achieving the promise of environmental protection. Products designed by our company are all compliant with the relevant regulations of RoHS, the WEEE directive and REACH.

Raw materials purchased by ASRock all comply with RoHS specifications and are re-commissioned to be assembled into products by foundries. When ASRock commissions foundries for assembly, relevant specifications for toxic-free substances are included; for example, the specifications in the purchase contract must comply with RoHS, WEEE or other requirements related to environmental protection. Cadmium and cadmium compounds, lead and lead compounds, mercury and mercury compounds, chromium VI and chromium compounds, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB), polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE), and the four newly added phthalates (DEHP, BBP, DBP and DIBP) in the RoHS2.0 directive, are all added to the list of prohibited substances to ensure that the products from the foundries comply with our company’s green design philosophy.

Conflict Minerals Statement

ASRock does not condone the usage of “conflict minerals”, as it infringes upon human rights and exploits the environment in the most distasteful way. Furthermore, we demand all ASRock suppliers to investigate their mineral sources to avoid using such conflict minerals, including gold, tantalum, tin, tungsten, etc. Suppliers are required to follow this practice to fulfill the basic corporate social responsibilities with ASRock.
