Taichi 10th Years Anniversary
Inspired by the Taichi symbol, where Yin and Yang exist in perfect harmony, the Taichi series was created to embody balance, stability, and limitless potential.
By integrating the signature Taichi pattern into its product design, ASRock created a distinctive flagship lineup that brings together advanced specifications, refined design, and thoughtful engineering — delivering a balanced flagship experience with both technical strength and design sophistication.
For gamers, creators, and PC enthusiasts, Taichi series products provide powerful hardware foundations, premium components, advanced connectivity, and refined thermal design — giving users the confidence to build high-performance systems that are ready for demanding workloads and future upgrades.
X99 Taichi is the first Taichi series motherboard. At a time when motherboard prices were rapidly increasing, many specifications had become excessive for everyday users. Taichi was created to achieve a balanced approach to features and value, avoiding unnecessary over-design while maintaining a consumer-friendly price point.
The name “Taichi” is derived from the Taichi (Tai Chi) symbol, where yin and yang coexist in perfect harmony, representing balance and stability. This reflects the series’ core philosophy of harmonizing performance, features, and price.
X370 Taichi is the first Taichi series motherboard for the AMD platform. It is also one of the longest-living Taichi motherboards. Thanks to AMD’s long-term AM4 platform support, and the forward-looking design of X370 Taichi, it remains compatible with the latest AMD X3D processors released today. ASRock continues to provide BIOS updates to maintain and support this motherboard. Its lifespan of nearly a decade is truly remarkable.
From this generation, the Taichi series began to shift toward a darker design language. While the original black-and-white Taichi aesthetic was distinctive, it was not always easy to match with PC cases, which are mostly black or white. As a result, the design was refined into darker tones, mainly black and gray, to create a more harmonious look when installed in systems.
Most Taichi motherboards follow the ATX form factor, with one exception: the AMD TR4-based X399M Taichi. It is the first mATX Taichi motherboard and also the only mATX X399 motherboard on the market at the time. By placing a large TR4 socket on an mATX board, the design demonstrated both engineering capability and bold design ambition, resulting in an extraordinary motherboard.
The ASRock Radeon™ RX 5700 XT Taichi X 8G OC+ is powered by the advanced AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT GPU, featuring 8GB of high-speed GDDR6 memory and ASRock’s signature craftsmanship. Its design showcases the iconic Taichi gear-themed metal backplate and a sophisticated shroud, delivering a premium aesthetic and exceptional build quality. Combining extreme factory-overclocked performance with a unique 6-output configuration, this graphics card is perfect for hardcore gamers and enthusiasts looking to build a high-performance, visually stunning PC with extensive multi-display support.
Since Computex 2020, we have been collaborating with Razer, the world's leading keyboard and mouse brand. Through this partnership, we aimed to bridge the gap in ASRock’s peripheral lineup while helping Razer—which lacks a motherboard presence—build a complete ecosystem. It has proven to be a mutually beneficial decision. Razer spearheaded the exterior design to ensure a consistent design language with their existing product line. After numerous rounds of sampling and in-depth discussions, we are highly satisfied with the final result, which features a sophisticated black finish and seamless RGB lighting effects.
The ASRock Radeon™ RX 6800 XT Taichi X 16G OC is powered by the high-performance AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT GPU, featuring 16GB GDDR6 memory and ASRock’s innovative Taichi 3X cooling system. Its sophisticated design incorporates a premium metal frame and a striking ARGB-lit gear-themed backplate, offering a perfect blend of structural integrity and mesmerizing visual effects. Delivering top-tier 4K gaming performance alongside an elegant aesthetic, this graphics card is an ideal choice for enthusiasts and creators seeking a powerful, high-end centerpiece for their professional PC builds.
The gear motif has been a classic design element of the Taichi series since the beginning, and users have long imagined seeing the gears actually in motion. The Z590 Taichi was the first product to bring this idea to life.
A small gear integrated into the rear I/O cover rotates in real time like a clock mechanism, moving step by step at the top of each hour.
To celebrate ASRock’s 20th anniversary, a special commemorative motherboard was created under the “Carrara” theme. Inspired by white marble with elegant gray veining, it symbolizes ASRock’s 20-year journey of dedication and refinement, much like marble that is shaped through pressure and time into enduring beauty.
In response to rising motherboard costs, the Taichi series introduced the “Taichi Lite” concept to preserve its original philosophy.
Taichi Lite maintains the same core specifications as the standard version, but removes decorative elements such as RGB lighting and nameplates, resulting in a more minimal design and a lower price point.
This approach expands the accessibility of the Taichi philosophy, bringing its balance of performance and value to a broader audience.
The ASRock AMD Radeon™ RX 7900 XTX Taichi White 24GB OC is powered by the high-end AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX GPU, featuring 24GB GDDR6 memory and ASRock's latest technologies. Its surface, metal frame, and backplate are finished with a pearlescent white coating, ensuring a unified color scheme and exceptional tactile experience. Combining outstanding performance with an exquisite aesthetic, this graphics card is perfect for hardcore gamers and professional creators building high-performance, white-themed PCs.
ASRock expanded its product lineup with the introduction of power supply units (PSUs). The flagship Taichi series PSU, certified with 80 PLUS and Cybenetics Titanium efficiency, is available in 1650W and 1300W models. Built to the latest ATX 3.1 standard with native 12V-2x6 connector support, it delivers reliable power for extreme high-performance systems.
At CES 2026, ASRock marked a new chapter in the Taichi journey by introducing its first AIO liquid cooler lineup.
Featuring models such as the Taichi 360 HOLO, the series extends the Taichi philosophy into advanced thermal engineering, making ASRock the first to introduce POV technology to AIO liquid coolers, delivering a floating 3D visual experience with stunning holographic effects.
In the same year, ASRock expanded the Taichi ecosystem into the display category with its first Taichi gaming monitors, including flagship models such as the TCO27USA.
Featuring advanced OLED technology with specifications ranging from 4K resolution to ultra-high refresh rates up to 540Hz, the series delivers exceptional clarity, contrast, and responsiveness for both immersive visuals and competitive gameplay.
